Super weird songs that I like

Take it or leave it!  A few weird songs that are worth checking out despite their initial freakiness.  In no particular order.

1. Triangle Walks (Tiga's 1-2-3-4 Remix)-Fever Ray

I was initially really creeped out by this song.  Throwing sticks at magpies?!  What the eff?  Karin Dreijer Andersson (of The Knife) brings her chilling broken notes to a beat that you can't NOT do the robot to. 

2. Neighboorhood #3 (Power Out)-The Arcade Fire

GREAT song, solid band.  I only say it's weird because the vocals take some getting used to.  An oddly happy yet melancholy jam.

3. I Remember (Caspa Remix)-Deadmau5

Only weird if you don't get the whole dubstep thing.  Phenomenal song, sexy bass.

4. Tension Head-QOTSA

Sick, sick jam.  Off of Queens of the Stone Age's Rated R, a pretty epic album to say the least.  Back when Josh Homme teamed up with Nick Oliveri for some intense, screamy vocals (here paired) with the Kyuss-y crunch of low-tuned axes.

May 13th.  It's beautiful out, a rarity around here, and again I'm in the library trying to pretend the glow of the computer's gonna help me get my tan back.  But no big, more album reviews (The Chronic down, on to When Life Gives You Lemons), so I'm secretly loving sitting here rocking out.  Since I can only listen to a few songs over and over for now, I figured I'd share some recent favorite tunes (in no particular order).  As I look at it again, it's surprisingly metal-free...I should fix that...

Sick techno, some ill mashups/remixes, and a little bit of rap here and there (with a random appearance by Imogen Heap).

Not to play favorites, but I can't stop listening to I Remember (Caspa Mix) and Help I'm Alive (The Twelves Remix), so make sure to check em out.

(I Remember has the.  Sickest.  Beat.  Ever.  So even though the beginning feels like a setup for a lame song, just wait.  Trust me, it's worth the listen.)
